In-Person Training Champlin
One-on-One Personal Training Champlin, in my private home gym. No commercial gym noise. No floor of strangers. Just the work, programmed around your history, run by me.
ABOUT THE TRAINING
A CHAMPLIN TRAINING EXPERIENCE BUILT FOR FORMER ATHLETES.
You used to train. Compete. Move like an athlete. Then life filled up, and somewhere along the way, the body you used to live in started feeling like someone else's.
I built Conn Human Performance for that gap. In-Person Personal Training Champlin happens at my private home gym, one client at a time. No bootcamp. No template programs pulled off a shelf. No 30-day fixes.
Every session is tailored to your actual training history, your current schedule, and what your body's telling me on the day you walk in. We train hard, we train smart, and we keep going until the athlete underneath gets their timing back.
16 years of coaching, including work with athletes inside the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That's the standard I bring to every session in Champlin.
Train. Feel. Look.

THE CHAMPLIN TRAINING ENVIRONMENT
A PRIVATE GYM. ONE CLIENT AT A TIME.
Personal Training Champlin at my home gym is different from a commercial setup on purpose. No waiting for equipment. No background music is fighting for your attention. No one is filming themselves in the mirror next to you.
What does that mean for the work:
Quiet focus. When the environment isn't competing for your attention, you train better. Most of my Champlin clients tell me the first session feels like an exhale.
Equipment programmed in. I built the space around the way I coach. Everything you need is there because I put it there.
A coach who's reading you, not the room. One-on-One Personal Training Champlin means I'm watching your bar speed, your tempo, your fatigue. Adjustments happen in real time.
TRAINING IN ACTION
REAL WORK. REAL RESULTS.
This is what the training actually looks like in Champlin. Lifting. Conditioning. Movement work. Quiet focus and clients who came in carrying something they wanted to get back, and got it back.
Some of the Top In-Person Coaches Champlin has to offer are running group classes and franchise gym floors. I'm running one client at a time, in my private gym, with the standards I'd want for myself.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. CHP runs in-person personal training in Champlin, focused on one-on-one coaching with me directly. Every session is structured, programmed around your goals, and adjusted in real time based on what your body's telling me that day.
This is the kind of training you book when you want to actually move the needle, not just check a box on a New Year's resolution.
-
Every CHP one-on-one client gets the same foundation, regardless of which location they're training at:
A custom training program built around your goals, your body, your schedule, and your training history. Three-dimensional programming because life happens in three dimensions, not just sagittal-plane gym work. The Vision and Identity Worksheets so the work with somewhere to stand. A floor-and-ceiling structure so the program survives bad weeks. And direct, in-person coaching from me at every session.
You're not buying a gym membership. You're not buying a generic program. You're buying coaching from someone with sixteen years of experience across high school athletes, college performers, and members of the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That experience shows up every time you walk in.

I train clients out of my private gym in Champlin. It's a fully outfitted training space at my home, professionally equipped with everything we need to do real coaching racks, platforms, full barbell sets, cable systems, and conditioning equipment. Heated, climate-controlled, and completely private.
This is not a commercial gym, and that's the point. No waiting for equipment, no distractions, no crowds, no music you didn't pick. Just you, the coach, and the work. For the kind of client I'm built to serve, that focused environment is part of what makes the training actually compound.
-
Honest answer: yes and no, depending on what "just getting started" means.
If you've never trained before in any meaningful way, no athletic background, no consistent movement history, starting from absolute zero, CHP probably isn't the right fit yet. I'd point you toward a more foundational program first.
But if you've got an athletic background somewhere in your past, you played sports growing up, you ran in college, you lifted casually for a few years, and then life got busy, even if it's been a decade since you trained seriously, you're in the right place. An athletic foundation makes the work move faster. The body remembers more than people give it credit for.
If you're not sure which side of that line you're on, that's exactly what the strategy call is for. We'll figure it out together.
-
I work with one-day-a-week clients all the way up to four-day-a-week clients. The minimum commitment for in-person work with me is one session per week; that's the floor.
Most of my Champlin clients land at two to three sessions per week with me. The rest of the week runs through my coaching app, programmed homework that fits your schedule, equipment, and what your body needs that day. The combination lets you get the high-quality coaching reps in person without needing to be in the gym five days a week.
We'll figure out the right cadence on your strategy call before any training starts.
-
Book a strategy call. We talk. I ask honest questions, you ask honest questions, and by the end, we'll both know if One-on-One Personal Training Champlin is the right fit.
That's it. No pressure. No pitch deck. Just a real conversation about whether the work I do is the right fit for the life you're actually living.
-
Three things.
First, the environment. Most personal trainers in the area work out of commercial gyms chains, big-box rooms, or rented studio time inside someone else's space. I train clients out of my own private gym, which means no membership fees, no waiting on equipment, no distractions, and no scheduling conflicts with whatever class is running in the next room.
Second, the avatar I'm built to serve. CHP isn't trying to be the right fit for everyone. I work with high-performing professionals, business owners, and executives between 35 and 55 who used to be athletic and want to get back to who they were. That focus means the programming, the coaching style, and the conversations I have with clients are dialed in for one specific kind of person.
Third, the experience. Sixteen years of coaching across high school athletes, college performers, and members of the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That doesn't make me the right coach for everyone. It does mean that for the kind of client I'm actually built for, I'm probably the right one.
-
Professionals, business owners, and executives between 35 and 55 with an athletic background. Former athletes who quietly stopped training and want their body back. People who don't need motivation lectures. They need a coach, a plan, and a room to do the work in.
-
Honestly, yes. The home gym setup is the reason the coaching works the way it does. Commercial gyms force compromises on space, equipment access, and noise. The private setup means none of that is in the way of the actual training.
-
Depends on your commute. Same coach. Same standards. Same programming approach. Champlin is my private home gym, St. Paul. Pick whichever drive works for your week.
