In-Person Training St.Paul

“We help you TRAIN, FEEL, & LOOK like an athlete” through our 3 pillar system.

ABOUT THE TRAINING

A ST. PAUL TRAINING EXPERIENCE BUILT FOR FORMER ATHLETES.

You used to train. Compete. Move like an athlete. Then life filled up, the calendar got loud, and the body you used to live in started feeling like someone else's.

I built Conn Human Performance for that exact gap. Personal Training in St. Paul, in person, with me, one client at a time. No bootcamp. No template programs. No 30-day fixes.

Every session is programmed around your actual training history, your current schedule, and what your body is telling me the day you walk in. We train hard, we train smart, and we keep going until the athlete underneath gets his or her timing back.

16 years of coaching, including work with athletes inside the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That's the standard I bring to every session, whether you're getting back to lifting for the first time in a decade or sharpening up for something competitive.

Train. Feel. Look.

OUR TRAINING LOCATIONS IN ST.PAUL

ONE-ON-ONE PERSONAL TRAINING ST. PAUL.

In-Person Personal Training St. Paul utilizes real equipment. Real space to move. None of the boutique-studio noise that gets in the way of actual training.

What you get when you train with me there:

Programming built for your history. I write your sessions around the sports and training you come from, not a generic strength template pulled off a shelf.

Coaching in the room, not on a screen. I'm reading your movement, your tempo, your fatigue. Adjustments happen in real time, not in a check-in message three days later.

A standard that doesn't drift. One-on-One Personal Training St. Paul means I'm coaching you, not running a floor of six people at once.

TRAINING IN ACTION

REAL WORK. REAL CLIENTS. NO STAGED SHOTS.

This is what the training actually looks like. Lifting. Conditioning. Movement work. Quiet focus and the occasional bar slammed back down on the platform.

Some of the Top In-Person Coaches St. Paul has are running group classes and franchise gym floors. I'm running one client at a time, in a room, getting the work done. Different model. Different result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Garrett conn
  • Yes. I run In-Person Personal Training in St. Paul , one-on-one with me directly. Every session is programmed around your goals and adjusted in real time based on what your body's telling me that day.

This is the kind of training you book when you want to actually move the needle. Not when you want to check a box on a New Year's resolution. This is the kind of training you book when you want to actually move the needle, not just check a box on a New Year's resolution.

  • Every CHP one-on-one client gets the same foundation, regardless of which location they're training at:

A custom training program built around your goals, your body, your schedule, and your training history. Three-dimensional programming because life happens in three dimensions, not just in the sagittal plane. The Vision and Identity Worksheets provide the workspace to stand. A floor and ceiling structure so the program survives bad weeks. And direct, in-person coaching from me at every session.

You're not buying a gym membership. You're not buying a generic program. You're buying one-on-one personal training in St. Paul from someone with sixteen years of experience across high school athletes, college performers, and members of the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That experience shows up every time you walk in.

  • I train clients out of Los Campeones in St. Paul. Well-equipped, fully outfitted gym with everything needed to do real coaching racks, platforms, full barbell sets, cable systems, and conditioning equipment.

It's a focused training environment, not a chain commercial gym. No waiting for equipment, no distractions, no sales staff trying to upsell you on a juice bar membership. You walk in, you train, you walk out better than you came in.

  • Honest answer: yes and no, depending on what "new" means.

If you've never trained before in any meaningful way, CHP probably isn't the right fit yet. You'd be better served by something more foundational first.

But if you've got an athletic background and you've been off for a while, you're exactly who the Best In-Person Coaching St. Paul has to offer is built for. Someone rebuilding strength and structure with guidance, not someone starting from zero.

  • I work with one-day-a-week clients all the way up to four-day-a-week clients. The minimum commitment for in-person work with me is one session per week; that's the floor.

Most of my St. Paul clients land at two to three sessions per week with me. The rest of the week runs through my coaching app, programmed homework that fits your schedule, equipment, and what your body needs that day. The combination lets you get the high-quality coaching reps in person without needing to be in the gym five days a week.

We'll figure out the right cadence on your strategy call before any training starts.

  • Book a strategy call. We talk. I ask honest questions, you ask honest questions, and by the end of the call, we'll both know whether we're built to work together. If we're not, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better. If we are, we'll talk through what coming on board looks like.

That's it. No pressure. No pitch deck. Just a real conversation about whether the work I do is the right fit for the life you're actually living.

  • Three formats, depending on how you want to work together:

In-person 1:1 private training: what this page is about. Available at Los Campeones in St. Paul, or at my Champlin location if that's closer to where you live or work.

Hybrid Coaching: in-person sessions with me 1-2 times per week, plus app-based programming for the rest of the week. The blend of direct coaching and structured homework. Same Twin Cities locations.

Online coaching: The 9-5 Athlete Program is fully remote. Built for the high-performing professional whose schedule, travel, or location means a regular gym visit isn't realistic. Same programming standards, delivered through my coaching app, no in-person sessions required.

If you're not sure which format fits your life, that's exactly what the strategy call is for. See the online coaching page for more details on the 9-5 Athlete Program specifically.

  • Three things.

First, the avatar I'm built to serve. CHP isn't trying to be the right fit for everyone. I work with high-performing professionals, business owners, and executives between 35 and 55 who used to be athletic and want to get back to who they were. That focus means the programming, the coaching style, and the conversations I have with clients are dialed in for one specific kind of person, and if that's you, you'll feel it in the first session.

Second, the philosophy. I don't write generic plans. Every program starts with identity work before we ever touch a barbell, because if the person isn't clear on who they're operating as, the program won't hold. Most coaches skip this and wonder why their clients quit at week six.

Third, the experience. Sixteen years of coaching across high school athletes, college performers, and members of the Timberwolves and Vikings organizations. That doesn't make me the right coach for everyone. It does mean that for the kind of client I'm actually built for, I'm probably the right one.

  • Professionals, business owners, and executives between 35 and 55 with an athletic background. Former athletes who quietly stopped training and want their body back. People who don't need motivation lectures. They need a coach, a plan, and a room to do the work in.

  • In-Person Personal Training St. Paul is hands-on. I'm in the room, coaching every rep. The 9-5 Athlete Program is fully online and app-based for people whose schedules can't sustain a regular in-person commitment. Some clients run a hybrid, one or two in-person sessions a week plus app-based programming the rest of the week. We figure out the right fit on the first call.
