Group training at CHP runs differently from most group fitness training classes. It's a small group capped intentionally, with structured coaching, real programming, and direct attention from me. You're not following along with a video on a wall. You're not in a 30-person bootcamp. You're training in a small room with a coach who knows your name and what you're working on.
It's the closest thing to private coaching that still happens in a group format.

No. Two reasons.
First, every session is coached. There's a clear intent behind what you're doing, why you're doing it, and how the work compounds week to week. It's not random.
Second, the group is small enough that I can actually coach. Most fitness group workouts in Minnesota are built for the average person in the room, which means nobody gets exactly what they need. The group at CHP is structured so the work is real for everyone in it.

Group training is a fit for the person who wants the energy of training with other people, has a baseline of training experience, and wants real coaching without the cost of fully private sessions.
It's specifically a good fit for someone who's already committed to consistent training and just wants better structure and a coach in the room. It's a less ideal fit for someone whose schedule, training history, or goals require a more personalized approach, those people usually do better in 1:1 private training or one of my online programs.

Yes, that's the whole point of keeping the group small. You'll get coaching cues, technique corrections, and program adjustments in the room. But to be honest about it, you won't get the level of individualization you'd get in a private session. The program is shared. The coaching is shared. That's by design.
If you want a program built specifically around your body, your schedule, and your goals, that's what private 1:1 training or my online coaching is for.

Group training and 1:1 private training are different products with different strengths.
Private 1:1 training is fully individualized; every program, every session, every cue is built for you. You set the schedule. The work is yours alone. This is the right fit for someone who wants the highest level of personalization and is ready to invest in it.
Group training is structured coaching in a shared format. You get real coaching, but the program isn't customized to you the way a private one is. This form of group personal training keeps the energy of training with other people while still maintaining structure.
Most clients who train with me long-term land in private or online coaching. Group is often where that conversation starts.

You need to have some training history. CHP isn't built for people starting from absolute zero; that applies to group training, too. If you've trained before, played sports growing up, lifted casually, or have a base of physical fitness to build on, you're in the right place.
If you've genuinely never trained before, I'm happy to point you toward a more foundational program first. Group training will move too fast for someone with no athletic foundation, and that's not a setup either of us wants.

Groups are kept small enough that coaching doesn't get lost. The exact number depends on the session, but the cap is set so I can actually see what everyone is doing and coach the room. If you've been in a 25-person bootcamp, this isn't that. It's group personal training in Minnesota built for real results.

Honest answer: results from group training depend more on you than on the format. The biggest advantage of training in a small coached group is consistency, you show up because the appointment is on the calendar and other people are expecting you. Consistency is what builds results, regardless of which CHP format you train in. We have had numerous member hit all time records on multiple strength movements, have the lowest body fat, and the most muscle they have ever had in half the time it would have taken then if they tried it on their own.
That said, the clients who get the deepest results, the ones who fundamentally change how they look, feel, and perform, usually end up in private 1:1 training or my online 9-5 Athlete Program at some point. Group training at CHP is one of the best group fitness experiences in Minnesota, and a great place to start.
